Hello everyone!
As most of you know, our community was rocked by hurricane helene. We live in Cowpens, SC which is close to the NC line. Even though we didn't get the cat 4 winds here, we took a beating!
My home and my family were blessed and didn't suffer any damage, but I can't say that for a lot of our neighbors. Creeks and rivers flooded, trees crashed onto homes and vehicles. Trees snapped and were uprooted resulting in power lines that weren't already down, finally coming down too. There are still some of us with no cell service to communicate, no power (which is understandable) and no fuel because the power is out and we cant purchase it. People can't even get ice to help keep medications cold.
My point is, things are bad. However me and my family understand that we were blessed to not have it as bad as those In NC right now. No matter what, there will always be someone who has it worse than you. What matters is what you choose to do about it.
So with that being said, my family and others seen a post on Facebook that our local church in our small town was going to spend Sunday service going out and helping remove trees, debris, and help in any way possible. We may not be able to do a lot, but it's the little things that mean the most, right?
We want to help in any way we can so reach out if you need anything, if we can't help, we will reach out to find it. Take care of your neighbors, love your neighbors, and pray for everyone that is feeling the pain from this storm.🤍
