When I spoke at the Mothers Day Banquet in Pine Prairie Louisiana, I had a wonderful wonderful surprise!

These friends that I’ve had since childhood showed up and it blessed my heart so much!! The two precious ladies closest to me, probably even threatened to s***k me when I was a kid! The two ladies on the ends were my partners in crime …as much crime as you can get into as a few sheltered happy kids.

I have been friends with them since I was a little girl, even before I was saved. I used to go to Mrs Debbie’s house and play with her daughters, and our families would get together often.

Mrs Billie Jean, Mr. Harry and their kids are the ones that used to bring me to church with them when I was a little girl. They lived right next door to us in the trailer park. We have SO MANY fun and funny memories!

One day while I was at church with them, I went forward at church and asked Jesus to come into my heart. ❤️ I left that day full to the brim.

When I share my testimony, I describe the feeling as it felt like there was a light from heaven shining on me. He washed my sin away that day and has lived in my heart ever since.

I wrote Mrs Billie Jean a letter probably 25 years ago telling her how much I appreciate them ministering to that little girl in the trailer park and what a difference that made in my life. She told me she still has that letter in her Bible.

If you don’t have a time you accepted the Lord, I’d love to talk to you about Him. No judgement.

Thank yall so so much for coming! You blessed my heart so big! I don’t think you will ever know this side of heaven what that meant to me!

I got carried away with the waffles a couple of weeks ago. I have a tiny waffle maker and 1 recipe makes too many for 2 little hungry boys! It’s a good thing they are easily toasted to reheat later!

Waffles

2 c all-purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 c sugar
1/8 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 c milk
1/2 stick melted butter (slightly cooled)
1 tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients and make your waffles!

This little waffle maker makes the perfect size to put in a toaster to reheat- for an easy plan ahead breakfast!

My grandma used to freeze the extras in a bread bag.

Last weeks thrift finds ❤️.

I’m going to frame the 2 yellow and white doilies. They are pristine and so cheery!

I’m going to hang the black tray here & the cream one on my tray wall in Tennessee.

I love the Corelle platters. I used to have one but it got lost somewhere along life’s way. I now have 2!

The 2 pieces of handmade lace trim have too many possibilities and I haven’t decided yet.

I’m also keeping the Fiestaware pan ❤️

The Longaberger pitcher, one of the cream floral trays, the red/white doily, the duck pottery “spoons” holder, and the aluminum simmer pot are going to Water Valley Flea Market soon!

I’ve been wanting to make boiled peanuts & finally did yesterday!

Crockpot Boiled Peanuts

Raw peanuts
Salt

Rinse your peanuts well a few times. Fill your crockpot and cover them with about 2 quarts water (they will float at first- make sure you can push them under the water). Add 1/3-1/2 c salt. Cook on high about 5-6 hrs. Let soak til cooled and put in ziplock bags. (Need to store in refrigerator).
