The creative chaos was REAL this week! 😅

After several days of crafting, painting, gluing, filming, and creating, my studio was officially crying out for help. Before I can make another project, I’ve got to find my work surface again! 😂

So today is all about the not-so-glamorous side of being a creator—cleaning, organizing, putting supplies away, and getting ready for the next round of creativity.

Anyone else feel like the messiest part of crafting is finding a place to start the next project? 🙋‍♀️

Now that things are getting back in order, I’m ready to make something fun. What should we create next?

A little behind-the-scenes tour of the new layout here at Susie on the Farm! 🏡✨

Sometimes a fresh perspective is all it takes to make a space work even better. I moved my checkout counter, opened up a brand-new area dedicated to decoupage papers and rice papers, and gave the shop a little refresh to make browsing even more fun and inspiring.

If you’ve been in before, you’ll definitely notice a few changes. If you haven’t stopped by lately, this is your sign to come see what’s new! I can’t wait to hear what you think of the updated space.

Have you ever rearranged a room and wondered why you didn’t do it sooner? 😊

This large frame had good bones, but the artwork inside wasn’t doing it any favors. A quick refresh with a beautiful image from the ever-popular Brocante IOD Transfer Booklet completely transformed the look and gave it that vintage charm I love so much.

No complicated techniques, no major overhaul—just a little creativity and one gorgeous transfer. 💐

Do you have a frame tucked away that could use a second chance?

That crackle though! 😍

There’s just something so satisfying about getting the perfect milk paint crackle, and this set of canisters did not disappoint. The beautiful aged texture happened by using Fusion™ Milk Paint, and I sealed everything in with Fusion™ Stain & Finishing Oil to deepen the color and protect the finish.

I love how this technique creates that authentic vintage, timeworn look that’s impossible to fake. Every crackle pattern is unique, which makes each project one of a kind!

If you’ve been wanting to try milk paint, this is your sign. Both Fusion Milk Paint and Fusion Stain & Finishing Oil are available at Susie on the Farm and online at susieonthefarm.com and linked below in the comments.

Would you leave these in the kitchen or style them somewhere else in your home? 🩵

Who knew a little denim pocket and a pile of fabric scraps could turn into something this fun? ❤️🤍💙

This morning during Craft and Chat with Susie, we turned bits and pieces from the scrap pile into this whimsical fabric flag. The jean pocket, vintage buttons, lace, and tattered strips give it so much charm and personality. Proof that some of the best projects come from using what you already have!

If you’d like to join the fun, come hang out with me every Tuesday morning at 9 AM for Craft and Chat with Susie. We laugh, create, and sometimes come up with projects I never planned to make!

And if you’re loving this scrappy little flag, stay tuned… I may be making another version on YouTube tomorrow night. 😊

What would you tuck inside that little pocket?

This gorgeous old wood frame didn’t need much—just a little creativity. I cut down a cereal box, covered it with vintage book pages using Mod Podge, and finished it off with a beautiful Seed Catalog transfer. The combination of aged paper, timeworn wood, and delicate florals gives it all the vintage cottage charm I love.

Never judge a book by its cover… especially when that cover is about to get a complete makeover! 📚✨

This old, dingy, well-loved book was headed for the discard pile, but with a little paint, the beautiful By Any Other Name transfer, and some creative vision, it became a stunning handmade junk journal.

One of my favorite things about creating is seeing the potential in something others might overlook. From worn-out and forgotten to beautiful and functional, this transformation is exactly why I love what I do.

Would you have guessed this gorgeous journal started as that old beat-up book? 🌹
