A note from Clay Van Winkle, founder of VWD Designs:

I am writing to share some significant and exciting news about Van Winkle Designs. This spring, I am entering a new partnership, as VWD has been acquired by WJHW, a firm with a strong reputation in architectural innovation. I want to be clear that I am not just becoming a consultant for this company, but that WJHW is bringing the VWD business model under their banner to provide more accessible and ongoing support for educational organizations. Creating this new position under WHJW’s umbrella will allow direct communication between the “managed services' portion of WJHW and directors, coordinators, and administrators.

Please be assured that the high level of service and the personal attention you have come to expect from Van Winkle Designs will remain steadfast and we will continue to support all of our existing clients in addition to building relationships with new ones. The essence of our operations, the quality of our work, and our commitment to your projects will not change. Rest assured, one of the first orders of business will be to begin the vendor application process for all of our existing districts so you may be hearing from us soon to initiate that process. All outstanding POs will still be handled through VWD Designs.

I am eager to continue this journey with you under the WJHW banner, and I look forward to sustaining and growing our collaborative successes. If you have any questions about this transition, please do not hesitate to reach out! I am more than happy to take some time and talk to you about the future!

In the world of theatre, one of the unsung heroes is often the lighting paperwork. More than just putting light on stage; it's about creating an atmosphere that tells a story, evokes emotions, and brings the production to life. For theatre educators, utilizing lighting paperwork with your students can be a game-changer.

Why is it so essential? Lighting paperwork serves as a detailed blueprint, guiding the hang and focus, cueing, and operation of lighting fixtures.
