Fried fish, hush puppies, double fried French fries:
For the fries:
I peeled and cut and soaked in cold water 15 minutes. Drained. Added to boiling water that 2 T vinegar and 1 T kosher salt had been added. Boil 8 minutes. Drain and let cool for 20 minutes, while your oil is heating up to 300 degrees. Cook, 4 minutes. Drain and let cool. Then turn up heat to 375 degrees and cook 4-5 more minutes. These are better than frozen. They are delicious

Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra, left over green beans, leftover Mac n cheese.
For the Salisbury steak,
6 cubed steaks
1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix
Cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can of water
1 pkg brown gravy mix
Carrots
Mushrooms
1 onion
1 T minced garlic
2 t w sauce
Dust of flour
Dust of ranch dressing mix
Season steaks with salt and pepper and ranch dressing mix
Sear in 2 T oil
Mix Lipton soup,mushroom soup, water, brown gravy mix, w sauce, and garlic in a separate bowl. Pour a little in crock pot. Add beef. Sauté onion, carrot and mushrooms in the same pan.add rest of gravy to deglaze pan. Add mixture on top of steak. Cook on high 5 hours or low for 8 hours. For the mashed potatoes,
Cook 6 potatoes in salted boiling water until tender. Drain. Mash with 1/2-3/4 stick of real butter, 4 oz cream cheese, 2-3 T sour cream, salt and pepper to taste. So good y’all

I made this 3 ingredient bread today.
3 c bread flour
1/2 t sea salt
1/2 t active yeast
1 1/4 c warm water
Mix first 3 ingredients then add water, stir together.
Put in a bowl with plastic wrap over night at room temperature or draft free place. After 12 hours, flour surface, shape. Put on a piece of parchment. Cover with towel 1 1/2 hours. Heat oven with Dutch oven inside 450 for 30 minutes. Score bread. Remove pan, add parchment with dough. With lid bake 30 minutes. Remove lid. Lower temp to 375 bake 15 more minutes. Cool at least 20 minutes.

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn.
For the chicken:
I added chicken to a bowl and added enough buttermilk to cover, and 1 T added seasonings. Put in fridge for at least one hour.
Add oil to pan to start heating up.
For the seasonings:
1 T seasoning salt
1/2 T of the rest, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, dried mustard, poultry seasoning, black pepper.
1 c self rising flour
1/4 c cornstarch
Add the rest of the seasonings to flour and put in large ziplock
Take chicken out of buttermilk, let excess drip off. Add to bag with flour and seasonings. Put on a plate, then re dip in flour mixture one more time.
Add to hot oil, cook until 165 degrees put on pan with rack. The chicken was so good, nice and crispy.
