I get questioned occasionally on why I charge to come out to a potential client' s home to help them create and quote out a custom space that they will love forever.
SOMETIMES (actually often) I even get some pretty snarky responses once I go over my options to get a project quoted--one being a free option if you provide a couple pieces of information about your space that I request, one being my consultation fee if you prefer I come out or offer my design ideas before booking-- in which I try my darndest to just shrug it off and move on without my hillbilly self coming to the typing board to respond back with the same tone π€ π€ π€ I try reeeeeaaaallllll hard to keep it professional round here y'all! π©βπ»
When I come to your home, youβre not just paying for βa quick look.β Youβre paying for my professional design experience, project planning, measurements, layout recommendations, material guidance, and the time it takes to help bring your vision to life.
These appointments also require travel time, scheduling, and hours of dedicated attention and expertise, because it doesn't end once I leave your home-- once a space is in my head, it's there until you tell me to go away forever!
Just like any other skilled trade or design service, professional time and knowledge have value. Charging a consultation fee allows me to continue providing high-quality service, detailed guidance, and intentional designs to every client I work with. I believe everyone's time and creativity has value, don't you?
I appreciate every single person who supports my business, respects my time, and trusts me with their homes. We have been blessed with hundreds of amazing clients and thousands of followers and look forward to both of these growing for years to come β€οΈ
Stay blessed everyone! And keep on accent wallin on π€π€π€
