Hello friends ❤️

I wanted to take a moment to share why things have been a little quieter than usual here at Crafts by Robin’s Nest.

After the loss of my best friend, my soulmate, my partner in everything — my dear husband, Eric— my heart and mind have needed time to grieve. 😢

I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you for your patience, understanding, and the grace that has been extended to me during this season. The outpouring of love and kindness has truly meant more than I can put into words.
Although I haven’t been very present here, please know that I am slowly finding my way back into a routine. I am still creating, still making pretty things, and still accepting custom orders. I do kindly ask for understanding that turnaround times may be longer than normal, as I continue to navigate all that this season holds.
If you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I will respond as soon as I am able.

As a quick holiday note: 🎄for any Christmas items and orders placed after December 5th, I unfortunately cannot guarantee completion or delivery by Christmas.

In Loving Memory of Eric Curtis - 1965 – 2025

Eric Curtis, 59, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2025.

Eric was a man of boundless heart and infectious laughter — someone who never met a stranger and never missed a chance to make someone smile.

Born in 1965, Eric spent his life building meaningful connections and unforgettable memories. He shared 33 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Robin, who he adored deeply. Together, they built a life full of laughter, travel, and love — exploring over 20 countries and 32 states and cherishing every moment of their journey.

Eric was a devoted father to their son Collin, and was endlessly proud of the man he’s become. Eric jumped into every adventure with Collin... sports, band, FFA, and scouting. Whatever, Collin wanted to do, Eric was there, cheering him on with pride.

Eric had a deep passion for vintage Volkswagens, especially his prized 1966 Kombi, Bertha, and he took immense pride in restoring and caring for her. He also found peace in his garden, joy in travel, and purpose in woodworking — creating handcrafted cutting boards and heirloom pieces that now live on as part of his legacy.

Above all, Eric lived with intention and heart. He was a wonderful husband, a present and loving father, a loyal friend, and a man who gave generously of his time, talents, and spirit. He loved to love — and he did it with warmth, humor, and grace.

Eric’s absence leaves a hole that can never be filled, but his memory lives on in every story shared, every smile sparked, and every road still waiting to be traveled.

He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.

The past 2 weeks have been brutal and today was the worst of it!!

I had to tell my soulmate that I'd see him later. This was the hardest thing to do and see. It all happened so rapidly. My heart is broken, and I need time to grieve, process and to be with our son, family and friends as we honor the memory of my sweet husband, Eric.

I will get back to making some fun things soon. 😞

Unfortunately, my husband has been having some health issues lately and I need to tend to his medical needs. Therefore, if I am not responsive to messages and/or a little delayed on getting orders out in the timely manner that you are used to, please know that this this why. I appreciate your understanding and grace as we navigate through this all of this and him back on the road to recovery.
