I had so much fun creating this little heart topiary and wanted to share how easy (and budget-friendly!) it really was 🤍🌿
You can totally gather sticks from trees around your home, or do what I did and grab a few stems from Hobby Lobby — I chose the ones with tiny lights on them for a little extra charm. From there, I picked up a round wreath and some moss and simply hot-glued the moss all around the wreath to give it that full, soft look.
Next, I placed floral foam into the vase, stuck my stems down into the foam, then hot-glued the wreath onto the stems and secured it with zip ties so everything stayed nice and sturdy. Because moss can be a little messy, I added extra moss around the top of the vase to clean it up and give it a finished look.
I also used an adhesive spray (took it outside and gave it a good spray down) to help everything stay in place. Super simple!
What I love most is that this piece is totally reusable. I’m hoping to transition it through the seasons — take off the pink heart, maybe add a bunny for spring 🐰, something patriotic for summer, pumpkins for fall… who knows! It’s one of those pieces that can grow and change year after year.
This was such an easy, inexpensive project, and I loved finding a creative, budget-friendly way to make something special for my home. If you’ve been wanting to try a DIY but felt intimidated — this one is a great place to start 💗
