SOTM x Monochrome Warm 🤩💃🏻✨

Our Sample of the Month Collection for October is officially LIVE! Since this is the first time we’ve had an overlap between collection launches, we wanted to share our favorite color pairings for monochrome warm and sample of the month 🥹

We’re so glad that y’all have loved the Monochrome Warm Collection and have shown so much excitement about our Mohair Gallant Sample of the Month ❤️ It means the world to us, and we’re so happy to be able to offer a collection of colorways that work so well together this week. We’re very close to needing to close our Monochrome Warm Collection, so keep an eye on our stories if/when we need to put a warning up for closing the collection! Also, if you purchase from both Monochrome Warm + SOTM, the preorder with the longer turnaround time will be what your order falls under ☺️ Cannot WAIT to see your color pairings 👀

A lil surprise for Sample of the Month!! We know it’s been a MINUTE since we’ve offered variegated colorways for preorder, so we’re doing a little something special this month and offering all six of these colorways on ALL of our bases tomorrow night! 🎉🎉🎉

Mohair Gallant color palettes!! 🩷🍂

I am soooo excited to share the colorways we chose for October’s Sample of the Month 🤩 Individually, I am obsessed with every single colorway in this lineup, and I had a funny feeling that they would all play quite well together. Safe to say, I think I was right 🥹

First up, we’ve got our original sample, Rooted + Upstate. Next, we’ve got You Do Not Yield + Freshwater Mussels, and finally, we’ve got Thingvellir National Park ❤️ Rooted, Freshwater Mussels, + Forage are all from our Farmers Market Collection back in 2023, Thingvellir National Park is from our Iceland Collection in 2023, You Do Not Yield is from our Throne of Glass collab with Jess Ransom in 2024, and Upstate is from our Middle of the Map Collection in 2025. I don’t know about you, but there’s something about merging these deep, moody jewel tones with the rich, earthier colorways that just cannot get enough of and I hope you love it too!

We have our original palette pairings shown above AND, if you swipe to the right, you can see some other swatches Sarah knit up for us to see even more combos that look INCREDIBLE together from this collection!! I don’t know about you, but I really just can’t get enough of variegated suri these days 🥹

All six colorways will be available for October’s Sample of the Month this coming Monday, October 12th at 7pm MT. We’ve got one more surprise for y’all for this launch, can’t wait to share more soon ❤️

time to COZY UP, y’all, because October’s Sample of the Month is HERE 🤩 Say hello to the coziest/best/most-loved sweater I’ve ever made: the MOHAIR GALLANT, by Caidree ⁓ Sabina 💃🏻✨

I knit this perfectly shaped, flowy sweater up for A Woolen Affair last year and let me tell you, it is without a doubt the sweater I grab for the most all year round 🥹 Not only are variegated yarns my true love and what made me fall in love with yarn dyeing in the first place, but variegated yarns on SURI?!?! And mixing TWO variegated yarns on suri?! I think we all know by now that that is my true happy place. Not only that, but did I mention how quickly this one knit up? On size US 7 needles holding two strands, this baby flewwwww (coming from the world’s slowest knitter, that’s really saying something)

There is something so truly magical about the way that the layers of color show up on our Suri Alpaca Lace base, really showing you each and every color that made its way onto the skein. And then, getting to show you how blended and beautiful it can be to pair two seemingly opposite colors together?! It doesn’t get better than that.

I made my Mohair Gallant using two of my favorite colorways: Upstate + Rooted, and this month, I decided to bring in my other all-time faves for some truly wonderful colorway pairing opportunities. Not only that, but we’ve got some pretty exciting news for our offering this month…(hint: we know we haven’t offered a ton of variegated yarn for preorder in the last six months, so we’re going to make up for it with this launch…)

We will be offering three color palettes for this release, including the palette used in our original sample and two others that I just couldn’t get out of my head (take a lil peek at my post from yesterday for a hint) 🥹 That’s six variegated colorways total coming to the shop for October’s Sample of the Month, launching this Monday, October 12th at 7pm MT 🎉
