This is something I’ve been working on behind the scenes recently for my interior designers. In both my Lavender Skies Series and my Echoes Series. I’ve shown you the Landscapes and seascapes, but I also have florals and abstract in both of those pallettes in progress, and I’ll show them when they are complete. I’ve worked with interior designers for the past 25 years and some of them want very random pieces of art across the home and others like to have pieces that are very different styles and subject matter, but in colors that complement each other.
I have had designers choose multiple pieces that complement each other because they want to stay with a very specific feeling both for hotels and residential spaces.
I had a lot of fun many years ago when I challenged myself to create a body of work of multiple styles and subjects in one color pallette. They were all works on paper so it wasn’t extremely risky, but I’m doing the same thing now on canvas.
If you’re wanting to experiment, it could be fun for you to decide on a specific color combo and just see how many different styles , mediums and subjects you can come up with. Let me know if you do because I’d love to see what you come up with.:)
