Baker Electric partners with the Work That Impacts Housing Program (WTIHP) that provides workforce development opportunity for individuals seeking new opportunities in trade careers. We are excited to welcome a couple of students into our workforce following their successful completion of this pilot program. Our Senior Project Manager, Doug Goforth, was recognized by local IBEW union and JATC representatives recently for his exceptional service for 15 years of serving on the Des Moines Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee. Doug’s impact is immeasurable in terms of how he has influenced current and future Electricians throughout the Des Moines area and how much he has helped shape the workforce of Baker Electric! Doug has certainly left a legacy of mentorship and leadership with his service to this committee.
