There’s nothing quite like opening a kiln and seeing weeks of work transformed by fire.

This latest kiln drop brought some incredible surprises—stunning glaze combinations, rich blues, copper tones, warm browns, golden highlights, travel mugs made by special request, memorial pieces created with love, and artisan bowls that found new homes almost immediately.

Every piece is unique. Every glaze flow is different. Every kiln opening feels a little like Christmas morning.

From simple clay to functional art, this is why I love what I do. Thank you to everyone who supports handmade pottery and allows me to keep creating.

Which piece is your favorite from this kiln load?

Sometimes the kiln creates something that makes you stop and stare. ❤️🏺

This bowl opened up like a flower in bloom, with soft whites, hints of blue and lavender, and rich copper tones flowing around the rim and down the sides.

Every piece that comes out of the kiln is unique, but this one feels especially special. The glaze movement created a beautiful floral pattern that couldn’t be planned and can never be exactly duplicated.

One of a kind, handmade, and full of character—the kind of piece that reminds me why I love pottery so much. 🔥

My son’s bonus mom asked if I would make a travel mug for his dad. Of course, I couldn’t make just one. ❤️

So I created a matching pair.

Families come in all shapes and sizes, and I’ve always believed there’s room for everyone who loves a child. These mugs were made with that spirit in mind.

The kiln gifted them with beautiful blues, greens, copper, and bronze tones, making each one unique while still belonging together.

I hope every cup of coffee brings a smile and serves as a reminder that kindness, respect, and love make families stronger. ☕🏺❤️

Experiments don’t always work out… but every now and then they exceed every expectation. ❤️🏺

This piece started as an idea I wasn’t entirely sure would work. A little creativity, a little trust in the process, and a willingness to try something different.

The soft white and blue glaze flows like water, while the metallic copper flower steals the show. The contrast between the delicate vase and the bold sculpted flower created something far more beautiful than I imagined.

One of the things I love most about pottery is that there is always something new to learn. Sometimes the best pieces come from simply being willing to experiment.

This one reminded me that taking chances can create something extraordinary. 🔥”

Some pieces never make it home with me.

This artisan bowl came out of the kiln looking like pure magic. Layers of blue, copper, cream, lavender, and rose flowed together in a way I could never have planned. Every angle revealed something new.

It was one of those pieces that stopped people in their tracks at the craft fair—and it sold almost immediately.

As potters, we guide the process, but sometimes the kiln decides to create something extraordinary all on its own. This bowl was one of those moments. ❤️🏺🔥

Thank you to the person who gave it a new home.”

One of the greatest honors as a potter is creating pieces that carry meaning far beyond clay and glaze.

This memorial urn was made for a young woman whose father recently passed away. Every curve, every detail, and every firing was done with care and respect for the love she carries for him.

I hope this piece brings her comfort and serves as a beautiful reminder that those we love never truly leave us. Their stories, their lessons, and the memories they leave behind remain with us always.

It was a privilege to create this for her family. ❤️”

“Now this is why I never get tired of opening the kiln. 🔥

This large bowl came out absolutely stunning. Deep blues, rich copper, earthy browns, and flashes of golden amber all melted together into something I never could have painted by hand. Every firing is a little bit of science, a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of magic.

The kiln definitely showed off on this one. ❤️🏺”

And honestly? This is one of those pieces I’d have a hard time listing for sale. It’s a real eye-catcher. ❤️🏺
