How frustrating trying to rebuild a simple bench, having my tools scattered and not organized. Suppose necessity will force my hand to do just that. One more coat of paint and I'll be dropping this cute little bench back to its home in Grand Rapids....

Yes, I do have about another 50 carving pictures to download , then upload. Will do ASAP. I appreciate the interest from each and every one of you. In attempts of being a good steward of your time, I will do my absolute best not to turn this page into my own personal journal. There are other outlets for that. I started chainsaw carving back in January of 2023, clueless of chainsaw operations, or even art for that matter. Seemed I had a knack for it, and with family encouragement, I was well on my way. After 25 years of working indoors, building and repairing industrial machinery (stamping presses, CNC's, the robotic assembly lines, etc), I swore if ever given the chance, I'd rather be building bird houses! I need not connect the irony... This picture is of my first carvings- I did bear after bear in attempts of getting the hang of it. Somehow, probably by God's grace, I still have all fingers, toes and limbs. Godspeed TTYL

To make a short story long, I will be uploading pictures of artwork I've created, starting in January, 2022. With zero experience with chainsaws, I've come a long way. Often times daily progress seems dismal, with one foot in front of the other as we trudge toward our dreams and goals. Then, one day, we look up and realize we've arrived- or rather, are well on our way... Such is my case. (While writing this I have the old dragnet T.V. show narrative pinging in my head.) Having been sidetracked, I haven't carved a thing all this past Summer, but am set up to start doing so. After all, why work outside when it's nice and warm, when there's a freezing cold Winter right around the corner? Godspeed
