Check out this custom awning buildout by Shade Doctor. This project needed more than just a standard awning, so we designed a complete freestanding structure specifically for the space.

We built the supporting frame to span the pool area and installed a large retractable awning system overhead, giving the homeowners the ability to create shade when they want it and open everything back up when they don’t.

The result is a huge amount of usable shade without sacrificing the open feel of the backyard.

At Shade Doctor, we specialize in custom solutions. If your patio, pool, or outdoor area doesn’t work with a traditional installation, that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. We’ll figure out a way to make it work.

🚧 West Side Install — Work in Progress! 🚧

This one is a big project! We’re currently working on a West Side installation featuring 50+ fixed screens, detailed stone cuts, multiple custom-fit screens, and a custom door built specifically for the space.

Jobs like this are a perfect example of how every project is different — and why custom measurements, clean installation, and attention to detail matter.

Still a work in progress, but it’s already coming together beautifully. 👏
