No! That’s not a moving truck out front. When you have clients that want to move to find their dream home but because of record low inventory...can’t find the right home or are not willing to get into a bidding war and pay above your comfort zone...you remodel the home they are in to create a new love story of the one they currently own.

I have many clients that are tapping into a little bit of their home equity and creating some pretty spectacular spaces. Interests rates at an all time low not only help your buying power for a new home but also giving my clients the ability to afford updating.

Big remodel starting in March for a Ranch Reserve client. Cabinets delivered to the job site today and we couldn’t be more excited to see this design concept begin to unfold.

Grateful the homeowner had a skid handy to unload our doors that were delivered today. Weighing in at 1600 pounds, saved our installers backs.

Renovating a home brings new challenges each day. You never know what you will encounter until you open up a space. We are replacing the entry doors at the farmhouse and decided to use wrought iron doors to replace the wood doors. Living in the country ages a home faster with the elements being more extreme. These north facing doors take a beating with the wind and snow drifting against the door and being north facing....it often sits for awhile.

When we removed the doors today, the entire subfloor had rot out and there was black mold. We replaced the wood and gave a new substrate to install the door, removed the wood flooring inside to where there was no more rot and moved forward with installing the new door. We will add steel flashing to protect the wood on the exterior so these new doors should stand the test of time.

I love the Flemish glass in the doors and how it brings life to the foyer with texture and light.

We are less than four weeks until the final clean on this one. Hardwood floors begin next week. We are on the home stretch.

Tharpe did a beautiful job building our Alder cabinets 10 years ago. We will be keeping all of the cabinets as they are perfect for our home and fit in to the style and design with the rest of the home. It is however, time to lighten things up a bit. We will be taking the island back to one level, replacing the granite with a light quartz, new single bowl sink, stone facing of the bar, lighting layout, tile around the entire island, and new cabinet hardware. We are also building out the bay window with a built in bench and custom wood table.

The big dilemma in our kitchen is that it has wings on both ends that create a bottleneck and its long overdue to fix this. Our kitchen is huge and yet, there is nowhere to prep. Taking the counter back to counter height will give me over 10 feet of prep space.

2 more weeks until start date...I can barely contain myself.

60” ISOKERN installed and now it is time to frame this up and make it pretty. With 150,000 BTU’s, I think this fireplace will heat this home nicely. Custom Steel Mantle delivered and ready for Monday’s install. This is the last big component of this remodel to complete before we can put the finishing details on this one.
