Peony is mini # 4 in this collection of 9 watercolors.
I cant get over how romantic this turned out - obviously channeling my 90s childhood for it.
Almost finished with this little painting side quest, and cant wait to share the final framed form.

I made another three mini paintings in this collection today. It feels lovely to pull these together and of imagination land where they were living.
4 more to go!
Watercolor has been a gift to me. The more I play and practice, the closer I seem to get to the quality that my brain conjures. It makes the struggles or frustration so worth it.

Pond, the second mini in this collection. In my opinion, summer is not complete without trips to the water. Floating and looking at the cloud, swimming and looking at the fish, or all the other kinds of boat-like activities.
I recently learned to paddleboard, and just like kayaking- I LOVE it. Water is my favorite place to be.

I have so many originals this year - sad to share my sticker and print stock is not where I'd like BUT I have some very fun and beautiful new hand painted bookmarks I can wait to share.

Starting this series of mini paintings, the Cottage Collection, with this lovely orange cat in a field of flowers.
Watercolor was the right move - it has just enough whimsy and softness to capture the feeling of this series.
Looking forward to sharing the rest of the collection and how they fit together in this thrifted collage frame.

I tried *really* hard not to avoid hands and feet.
I went last night with a limited palette: burnt sienna, Prussian blue, Naples yellow, and rose of ultramarine. I enjoyed that additional challenge as well.
Note: Props freak me out! But I will get there.

A fun night, an incredible space, and something I'm looking forward to keeping in my life.

A few of the paintings I've made that I'm keeping in my bedroom for now. (Plus a reflective preview of my lighting choices). Surrounding myself with extra bits of nature makes me happy.

I recently cycled out some older pieces I had displayed on my walls for a few from a newer collection. It feels a little lighter in here now. Fresh energy.
