School is winding up for many families and loved ones right now, and even though it's been a bit since it applied to me directly, I still feel that clock ticking in the background every August. There's something about this time of year that makes me pause and take stock, the same way a new school year once did.
As I look ahead to fall, I find myself dreaming of cozy evenings in, slower nights, and spaces that were designed with real intention. Not just beautiful for the sake of it, but places that actually hold you, where you want to curl up, gather people, and just be.
I think that's really what good design is at its core. It's not about a perfect room, it's about creating a space that meets you where you are in each season of life, whether that's the busyness of September or the quiet of a fall evening at home.
