Shattered Joy - Art by Tonya Eisenhauer Tonya's handmade artwork transforms broken glass into beautiful original art. Shattered Joy is a strange name, I know. But it fits my journey.

In 2018 my baby sister was murdered. That crazy painful night my my heart was shattered into a million pieces. It felt as if the joy I thought was in my life was snuffed out by the evil act of one man. When people asked us "how are you?" the only answer I knew was "shattered." In August 2020, during Covid-19 cray-cray quarantine, I was looking for a creative outlet, something I could do from home,

obviously. I took my first ever online art class and I learned basic techniques for working with glass, and that was the beginning. As I created, my shattered heart began to heal. God picked up those shattered pieces and began a new thing, a beautiful thing - Shattered Joy! Isaiah 61:3 "Bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness in stead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor."
