👉🏼WHAT BROUGHT ME TO MWB
“I moved to Fairport Harbor in December 2022. I didn’t know a single person here. My goal moving here was to be involved in this quaint little beach town. And I knew if there was an art community I was diving in quickly! Then I met Mary Hunt and my goal was reached and exploded into more! My World Better has been my refuge! To teach, to make, to meet new friends, to hang out, have coffee and conversations with people from all diversities! Made many new great friends and memories!”
👉🏼MY FAVORITE MEMORY AT MWB
"Wow! There are so many favorite memories. What pops in my mind was when I taught the kids club how to Mandala Dot paint. They did great and had so much fun. I’m a retired special education aide of 30 years. Preschool and k-2. I was missing kids. We had a blast!"
👉🏼WHY MWB IS IMPORTANT TO ME
"My World Better has been a Godsend to me and also my husband Judd Shiffler. He is also a teacher/ maker of ceramic pottery. Artists have to create! It’s in our dna, our blood, our brains! I had my own studio for 2 years in Burton, Oh before I moved to Fairport Harbor. But because drastic life changes that happened, I had to close it. My husband of 42 years passed away. That studio was my saving grace. I loved it. But then I had a Godsmack moment and my life changed for the better. I reunited with someone I knew my whole life! Judd Shiffler! We instantly knew we were meant to be together. Both of us artists. We got married August 27, 2022. I sold my home in Burton after living there and raising my family to move to Fairport Harbor. Finding Mary Hunt and My World Better was just what I had prayed for. I walked in and knew this was my answer. I love everything about what we do there, what we stand for and how we help people."
👉🏼WHAT I AM MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT THE RELAUNCH
"I am mostly looking forward to our community being together again. A safe space for all diversity to create, chat, make friends, laugh and cry together. Also I love to teach! I’m looking forward to a relaunch of My World Better where we all work together to bring art and peace and happiness to everyone from far and wide."

📍My World Better is currently in a transition phase, we are revising the business to be an even greater asset to the community. In the mean time, we are building community with the help of local teachers and community members by offering free classes. Please consider contributing monetarily to assist us in our transition.
