Monarch McQueen Mexican Maximalism

For my fae Multiverse ball look It all began with a cheap dress,a borrowed mannequin and a crazy vision. My concept was to be the monarch. How Katniss from Hunger Games was the mockingjay. Blending my Mexican folklore symbolism with the work of Alexander McQueen. I’ve recently become re-obsessed with the hunger games media due to the Sunrise on the reaping book . I could not get Effie Trinket’s monarch dress out of my mind. Taking something that is capitalist fashion into a personal beacon of hope that shimmers. Monarch butterflies in my culture mean the return of souls back to the our plane. They are messengers of peace and love. That is all what balls are about. A beautiful community coming together from all planes. It was such a beautiful night full of friends,love and laughter. Thank you always Holly.Can’t wait for the next one this fall. 🦋✨

2025 Recap ✨ this year was a tremendous year full of life, love and perseverance. We met so many amazing people thru markets and events! We got to colab again with . We got married this year with the incredible help of the many vendors and friends met from all events. We couldn’t have done this year with all the love and support from everyone.

The Surrealist Fantasy Soirée was everything and so much more! The dream team was back. We collabororated with for magical giveaway. It was amazing meet .bright.cosplay the winner of the mask. Getting to see all the details of their outfit in person and seeing the vision to fruition, her ex*****on was a paragon. A huge highlight of our night. It did not just stop at that mask set. We collaborated with to pull off a Cronus/twilight zone inspired look. From spooky eye mask to strewn doll parts body chains. The opposite polarity was a fun challenge. My own look was inspired by the dusk sky featuring shimmering starlight mirror tiles and gauzy lavender.This was such a remarkable evening spent with incredible creatives and friends. Thank you for holding space for everyone for sharing it with us, and thank you endlessly for the amazing photos.
