Grandma’s Gifts, a vintage booth, was established in 2024 to honor my gifted grandma, Alice.

Happy Halloween from Grandma’s Gifts! 🎃👵🏼

I couldn’t resist dressing up as Grandma Buechlein. 😆 She laughed and said I look funny. I asked who her hair dresser was, because her hair looks better. ✂️😂

I’m also wearing the pumpkin necklace Grandma Duncan got me when I was little with a little charm that says “Punkin Duncan” on it in her handwriting. That was my nickname from Grandma and Grandpa Duncan.

Step 3 of moving to a new booth: Move some of Grandma’s furniture in and start displaying things.

My goal is to make this a cozy little corner that has some nods to Grandma’s house in it. I’m still working on filling the space, but this is a start! The wooden bookshelf and dresser were Grandma’s, and they are not for sale. Just for display purposes to recreate “Grandma’s House”. I can’t wait to work on it more and put Christmas out! 👵🏼

Step 2 of the new booth move in: Add a shelf to the booth! Slowly getting there, but there’s so much more to add. 👵🏼

✅Step 1 of the new booth move-in complete: painting the booth green, Grandma’s favorite color. Her favorite color was more of a dark green, but I thought this vintage green color would look great with Christmas red coming to the booth soon enough.💚👵🏼

What do you think? Should I go ahead and put Christmas out? 🤔 The Christkindmarkt is right around the corner - November 21-22. Mark your calendars!

Tuesday would have been my Grandma Duncan’s 90th birthday and the anniversary of opening my booth in her memory, booth 106 for her birthday on 10/6. Enjoy some of these photos of her from over the years! Happy birthday, Grandma! 👵🏼🧁💚

Grandma’s Gifts is moving to a new location and it’s directly across from where the booth is now! Stay tuned for some photos of the new space. 👵🏼

Cheers to Friday and the weekend! ☕️

👵🏼👴🏻Coffee cup from grandma and grandpa’s house.

Love this picture from Grandma’s house. Two coffee cups on the end table. One for her. One for me. She always had coffee brewing and would offer me some - the only time I’d drink black coffee was with grandma. Chitchatting with grandma, watching Wheel of Fortune, and sipping coffee at night before bed. Then not being able to sleep because I drank too much coffee. But somehow, it never affected grandma. 😆 I love the piano in the background that she always played and the lamp shining in the corner. I kept that lamp and am glad that I did!

It has been a while since I’ve posted about Grandma Duncan, and I came across this picture tonight. The littlest things can create the biggest and best memories. And I try to bring memories and nostalgia to my booth so you can think of those special times with your grandma, too. 👵🏼

A few spooky things added to Grandma’s Gifts! Who is ready for fall weather? Pumpkins spice lattes, pumpkin patches, apple c***r, fall festivals. Can’t beat it! 🎃👻🍁
