Beautiful solo hike at Wallace Falls State Park in Gold Bar, WA.

Followed the trail head under some power lines, kept right at the Y which takes you to the falls. Made it to the upper falls...AMAZING! ⛰️

Although it was challenging with the elevation gains about 1,300+ ft and covers 5+ mi , totally worth the effort even in the rain 🌧

In my opinion the best view of the falls was the middle falls. Best view of the valley hike above the middle falls. Upper falls was pretty but you can only see the top of the falls.

I've been traveling more.

Figuring out how to paint on the road is a bit of a challenge for me.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE COLOR?

When asked, my thought is to respond with Nature. Often I say, the color of the sea 🌊 I am always drawn to the colors of water and the things that are impacted by it.

The deep blue ocean that when calm appears almost black and the sea glass that has been tumbled by nature is now encased in a soft white blanket.

The hint of neon green that runs along a river found high in the mountains or the soft blue that makes you question the reality of what you see. The rough edges of stone carved out by time will leave you wondering how thats even possible. ⛰️

Then I think to myself how much I love the sun 🌞 🧡 Whats your favorite color and why? Share 👇

He's finally heading to his new home!

This one was a bit of a challenge due to size and subject matter. Measuring in around 30 x 40" this is the biggest canvas I've tackled so far. Although I did use several of my techniques, the subject matter was foreign to me.

In the end I am so greatful to have this opportunity to explore unfamiliar ground. I have learned to love canvas and found new techniques I will use in my art going forward.

Starting over, gets easier every time. Remember the little Rhino with the irregular proportions?

I painted over the first one and started again, focusing on the proportions. I used the grid process. Once I had it all blocked in I realized I drew the new one upside down. Too late to change it, I was committed. Unless of course I start over again 🤣

I think the proportions are WAY off. I'll see if I can fix them before starting over. I love the feel though!

I miss this. I have several peices that could be transformed, just not a great space to do so. Maybe someday ❤️

I loved to take discarded furniture and completely transform it, all free or given to me. You spend half of the time cleaning and prepping but its all worth it.
