This living room went from an awkward layout to a functional space designed around the way this family truly lives.

We removed the original small fireplace and created a new focal point on the left with custom built-ins and a ventless fireplace, bringing added storage, balance, and intention to the room.

Because our client loves lavender and navy, we layered those hues throughout the design in a way that feels timeless, inviting, and personal.

Her love of hydrangeas also inspired a gallery wall of hydrangea paintings, adding another meaningful layer to the space.

Comfort and durability were equally important for this busy family, so we selected a generous sectional in washable fabric with plenty of room for her daughter and dog to stretch out.

To preserve a few meaningful family pieces, we incorporated an antique end table inherited from her father and reupholstered a chair he had given them, now her daughter’s favorite place to snuggle up.

The result is a living room that feels more functional, more beautiful, and unmistakably theirs.
