The best shelves feel collected, not filled.

A little brass, a few unexpected objects, stacked books, and plenty of negative space — each piece gets its own moment.

I didn’t exactly plan to color coordinate the shelf styling, but here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️ The more I played around with the styling, the more I fell in love with this look: white decor on the left, and gold/brass on the right.

Notice I don’t “fill” the shelves with a bunch of tchotchkes. Statement pieces with negative space and room to breathe.

Friendly reminder not to skimp on the window treatments!

I wanted these sheers the minute I saw them in a showroom. 😍 I did NOT know I wanted the cornices. My friend Streamline Interior Design & Retail by Jill Cascio Boullion, CID sent me the white croc fabric and I originally thought I’d recover my office chair with it. Then I was talking to All Things Material about window treatments and she said, “What about cornices?” I loved the idea of croc cornices paired with leopard like sheers. We had JUST ENOUGH fabric to pull off the cornices. It was meant to be 🥰 These cornice/sheer combos complete the whole look in here.
