Foraged Fall front door reset!

This cost $0 & a couple hours of my Saturday.
Feel inspired? Find some tree trimmings & make your own! No rules. Just right.

*I used existing eye hooks around my door & floral wire to secure large branches as the base of the arch. Then weaved & used more floral wire to secure smaller branches until it felt full & colorful enough.

*I plan to leave the base layer large leafless branches + fir branches up as long as they stay green, which will hopefully be through the holidays, & switch out the top branches once Thanksgiving transitions to Christmas. Will try & update.

My son doesn’t like the lack of symmetry. It bothers him. I told him I was going for avant-guard & he gave me the side eye. Guess whose opinion I didn’t seek out…😮‍💨☺️

Sensational summer succulents showing off next to some sweet little green pumpkins. Why not! My mind says “no” but my eyes say “yes”.

Sometimes design doesn’t have to make perfect sense. If you like it, it’s a win. In an ever changing culture where lines blur & there seem to be less rules, let’s take a second to appreciate & applaud that design choices can be a feeling, an appreciation, maybe even an impulse you act on that causes repeated joy to each viewer.

It’s art. It’s life. It’s having fun with the spaces around you. Who cares what you’re “supposed to do” if you like it! Trust your gut & do the thing. Go for the unexpected. Maybe even the weird. Be bold & unapologetic. There is but one of you & your stamp on this world, so do something uniquely beautiful with your surroundings. You won’t regret it.

Mondays can have our head spinning before we’ve stepped foot on the floor. If you can relate, take a moment to ground yourself in a thought of gratitude. Maybe it’s even something normally taken for granted.

Today I have taken photos of a new roof & gutters (recently replaced), as well as a kitchen faucet (newly installed)…both things I’ve personally taken for granted.

Feeling thankful today for a stunning new roof & gutters to keep my family safe & dry, as well as the ease of clean, running water, flowing freely from my kitchen faucet (sans leaks)!

What’s gonna be your thing today?

How would the world change if we all continually purposed to reflect light, love, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, steadfastness, self control…etc.
