Sometimes you just have to say something…

Quick stop into Regal Paint & Decorating for paint samples turned into this.

Started with full overwhelm — paint, countertops, hardware, lighting… all of it.

Fast forward:
Warm oak cabinetry
Soft stone countertops
Brass hardware
And a pendant that makes the whole space

We kept a lot of the existing pieces as they prep for their move to PA, but pulled everything together with a full-home paint scheme.

Crazy what one conversation can turn into!

Funny how the best projects start…

Quick run into Regal Paint & Decorating to grab samples and spotted a couple completely overwhelmed.

Fast forward… and this kitchen.

Warm oak cabinetry, a soft, subtle stone countertop, aged brass hardware, and a statement pendant that pulls it all together — simple and yet quietly impactful.

As they prepare for their move to PA, much of the furniture throughout the home was existing, but we created a full, cohesive paint scheme to carry everything through and set the tone.

A beautiful kitchen, a calm home, and a fresh start. Sometimes it just takes one conversation!

Spa at home anyone?
Spring has sprung and green is everywhere, or at least it’s Spring every other day here in MD….

Functional elegance, inspired by Mother Nature’s palette and the warmth and integrity that only natural stone can exude. We placed this gorgeous, green marble in a herringbone pattern for a classic and timeless feel.

The tub didn’t serve our clients so we reimagined the space with a custom built-in bench, perfect for extra storage and sitting while doing make-up, or as our client shared, doing face masks with her littles on Sunday mornings.

Pull down faucet heads provide extra functionality. And because every retreat deserves that extra touch…
heated floors for everyday luxury.

Who needs a spa when your en-suite feels like one!

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room…
Not the obvious choice — which is exactly the point.
A little playful, a little unexpected, and somehow it just works in this Potomac home.

If you’re going to take a design risk, this is the place to do it. Light re fresh, color drench, soffit removal, new light fixture and mirror!

A kitchen with a story 🤍

These cabinets were originally made years ago at the Frederick School for the Deaf, so rather than replace them we reimagined them with a custom paint colour and new hardware.

We went on a hunt for the exact Taj Mahal quartzite, raised the backsplash, added cabinetry to create a generous island, and layered in stone flooring, beautiful lighting, leather stools and an induction hob for a serious cook.

The cherry on the cake — whimsical custom window treatments and the client’s own artwork throughout the space.

Such a special project to bring to life.

The heart of this kitchen started with something truly meaningful — the original cabinets were made years ago at the Frederick School for the Deaf. Rather than replace them, we reimagined them. We introduced a custom paint color that instantly softened the space and set the tone for the whole kitchen — organic country with a quiet European feel.

From there it became about layering the right materials and details. We went on a bit of a scavenger hunt to find the exact Taj Mahal quartzite slabs — the veining and warmth had to be just right. The backsplash was lifted beyond the standard 4-inch builder splash to give the stone room to breathe, a small change that makes a surprisingly big difference.

We added cabinetry to create a generous island that now anchors the room, designed to flow seamlessly with the repurposed cabinets so nothing feels new or forced. New hardware and exposed hinges give a nod to classic craftsmanship, while a fantastic induction hob keeps things practical for a serious cook. The existing ovens stayed but were built in so they quietly disappear into the cabinetry.

A new stone floor grounds the space, beautiful lighting adds warmth, and gorgeous leather counter stools bring texture and comfort.

The final cherry on the cake — custom window treatments with just the right touch of whimsy.

And perhaps the best part: this client is an artist, so her own work now lives proudly in the space, making the kitchen feel deeply personal and completely hers.
