Things Remembered has literally and figuratively left the building as of 5 pm Wed 10-24. David and I packed, moved and stored for about 2 weeks so we are really 😜 ready for this upcoming cruise.
I plan to keep this page for the upcoming months to give updates on framing and yarn venues I will be involved in.

This Sunday, September 23 We will be open 1 till 4 pm in celebration of The 2018 Charlotte Area Yarn Crawl.
Talented Pottery Artist Janet Littlejohn Kaufman will be showcased at this event. Janet has designed and created these adorable sheep yarn bowls exclusively for our shop. Also available are buttons and Shawl pins with the sheep face design.
We invite you to join us as we celebrate our final Yarn Crawl before Joy retires and our shop closes.

We will be closed for Labor Day, Friday, August 31st and will reopen, Tuesday, September 4th. Our focus at the shop will be on getting ready for the Charlotte Area Yarn Crawl beginning, September 21st through September 29th. Going on now, special closeout sales on inventory, displays and fixtures. Just a reminder, Joy will be retiring and the shop closing at the end of September.

We are back open and operating after a lovely relaxing vacation, one that involved a lot of discussions and decision making.
So this is my Special Announcement as promised -
(Drum roll, trumpets and fanfare please 🎉🍾💥🎈)
The building here at 3805 South New Hope is under contract to be sold and
I AM RETIRING 😀 !!!
Things Remembered Custom Framing and Yarn has been the focus of my life for almost 40 years. I have been privileged and honored to share in the lives of my customers by framing their memories and accomplishments.
The Yarn Shop has been a source of pride as a Gathering Place for Fiber Enthusiasts to come together and share creative energy through stitching, knitting and crochet.
These folks are affectionately known as my “Fiber Friends”.

The schedule for the closing of the shop will be as follows:

For the remainder of July and August I will be concentrating on Custom Framing. Please bring in any items you’d have me frame no later than the first week of September.

The Yarn Shop will be operating as normal, with regular Hours and Thursday Morning Fiber Gatherings. My focus in September will shift to preparing for the 2018 Charlotte Area Yarn Crawl, dates 9-21 thru 9-29. Trunk Shows both Stitching and Yarn are in the plans for special events along with a close out inventory sale.
A Big Big Party will be planned for around the first part of October for the official closing. Stay tuned for updates and more information.

My heart flutters just a bit, both with excitement and terror as I post this announcement. My already retired friends tell me there is fun to be had on the other side if I just survive this part. Well, I guess I’m about to find out.

Thank you so much for allowing me to serve you and be a part of your lives through my business. I hope to see many of you come through these Pink Doors for a Congratulatory Goodbye Hug 🤗

The shop will be closed Saturday June 30th until Monday July 9th for our Fourth of July Vacation.
We will reopen on July 9th with some exciting announcements and going full steam ahead counting down to The 2018 Charlotte Area Yarn Crawl in late September.
Wishing you all a Happy Fourth Of July filled with fun, friends, and family.

Today, Saturday 16th the shop will be opening early at 9am but closing at 10:45 so that Joy can attend a baby shower for a dear friend.
Also, the shop will be closed the Week of July 4th for vacation, reopening July 9th with some very special announcements.

Our hours are changing for the Summer - we will no longer be open till 8 PM on Thursday. Fiber Friends Gatherings will be Thursday Mornings 10 am till 12:30 pm. Join us during this time to share Creative Energy with knitting, crocheting, and stitching.
