So, it was extreme bath time for the doggos this week as they had their yearly vet checks, shots and flea/tick meds to get ready for camping season. Remi did much better! Balto's first time was, better than expected but Chase and I still wore most of the water and the machine shut off before he was halfway dry!😂
Remi is having issues with his collapsed esophagus, so I am trying to get the pills down him, 2 pills-2x a day for the next 3 weeks. He spits them out like watermelon seeds! They are a steroid to help with his coughing and breathing. (He's the deaf one) He weighs 33 pounds and they want him to try and lose 5 pounds that's NOT fur!🤔
Balto goes tomorrow but we have plans tonight,so he got his bath early. He is just to get one shot and flea/tick meds, but it should be interesting. I will update with his appointment later.
I have more pictures to post, I just keep forgetting.

I knew I needed you as much as Remi did, and you have been a bundle of jumps and chomps! You were Remi's best friend from the first minute and my little helper! From car rides to ahm, pulling Remi's tail to get his attention, you help me even with being the "little" brother! And even though we tell you "no" your little howl is so funny! I'm so very grateful I was able to add you to my "pack"! 💯💞💖

🥰Happy "Gottcha" day to my Remi! 🥰
3 years ago I was handed a little, white bundle of fluff. We were both a little worried. I was unsure of how to raise a deaf puppy and communicate with him. I have to say, after laying on my living room floor every night for the first four months, things finally started coming together after the first year and puppy class, and constant frustration by both of us! But he is my velcro puppy and knows my needs and will "park" on me to let others know I'm his! Now he has his own puppy (we're sharing Balto) and he's very happy for a friend to play with. He will get a golf cart ride later!

***Update -Thursday morning- Balto is back to his normal self! Hates the cone but being sneaky with it! He figured out how to eat with it on after running when I took it off for him to eat and getting in trouble. 🫣 ***

Tuesday-Balto did great at for his surgery. Woke up fast, everything he does is fast; he's been taking naps all afternoon. Unsure how to keep him from jumping but they said after 3-5 days the steps and couch/bed was fine. And is he is 13.1 pounds! He's almost ready to go camping!

Balto is quiet today. After his bath at the dog wash in Toledo yesterday; I'm pretty sure he knows something is up, but actually, something is coming off. 🤫Tomorrow is snipping day for him, along with a microchip and final shots.
How to keep this active, jumping bean, down, I am unsure of. But, he smells good and is extra fluffy!😍

A couple of pictures of Balto. Trying to get him trained. Just booked his "snip" procedure for next month. He's doing well on a leash and not trying to jump out of the golf cart anymore. He is 6 months old now.

So, we went for a ride in the RZR a couple days ago. It took a few minutes to get everyone situated!😂 Remi likes the floor and Balto likes to see out. Balto decided really quickly that he preferred the windows closed!
