Spent the day at the Ferguson showroom and wow… the lighting + bath trends are having an elevated moment.

✨ Statement lighting is getting more sculptural and 3-dimensional fixtures that double as art, warm globe details, and elevated finishes that instantly upgrade a space.

🛁 Freestanding tubs are still king, but we’re seeing cleaner silhouettes, softer edges, and luxe tub fillers in brushed brass and mixed metals stealing the show.

One thing we are loving. Lighting over the tub is becoming the focal point - not an afterthought.

I fell in love with paint as a little girl. My dad always made sure our walls and trim and even our exterior painted brick was always fresh and updated. I also fell in love with my dad, who was a FBI agent, and I grew up wanting to be just like him. As a result, I too became a federal law enforcement agent by day, and a DIY home decorator in my off time. I experienced over and over the “high” of what a paint color change could do for walls and rooms.

I ended up “retiring” from law enforcement after the birth of my first child in 2002. While children napped, I painted. I began painting furniture and soon discovered different kinds of paints, glazes and all kind of wonderful products to create all different finishes on just about anything. I started saying yest to painting cabinetry and loved how tile and counters and paint could transform a space.

I spent several years focusing on kitchen remodels and painting kitchen cabinets for clients. While doing this, I began dabbling in new construction selections. I’ve spent the last 2 years full time for a local builder as a Designer and Project Manager. I love the process of taking home plans and planning the entire house from the outside in. It can seem overwhelming. Over and over I have guided my clients through the selection process with the end result seeing their dream home come to life!
