I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Now that my animals have been re-homed, please note ( & spread the word) I will NOT be accepting used Christmas trees for the animals to nibble on. But I’m sure there are other farms in the area that will accept them. Thank you & now on to Happy New Year!

Do you know someone ( or maybe that somebody is YOU) who loves fiber, and could use a Patrick Green Drum carder? These are no longer being made and are top quality for hand blending/carding fibers. Comes with brushes, doffer, rolling dowels and has a fine tooth fabric drum. I prefer NOT to ship. If interested PM me. Thank you for sharing with anyone you may think is interested.

Being Latvian, Fiber Arts is in my genes. I make hand woven/hand knit accessories & home goods made mostly from alpaca on our New England...

Please read whole post……. It is with mixed emotions that after I announce that Hampden Hills Alpacas, after 23 years, is winding down. If you follow my page, PLEASE “like” and follow my “The Latvian Weaver” page so you don’t miss out as I will be no longer posting to this page. I will miss the animals but I won’t miss being tied to the property. Farming has no days off and many stressors in life. I’m ready for a new chapter in life. I was lucky enough to find an angel who gracious and enthusiastically took all my critters on to his property and I know he will treat them as well as I did. And they will have new friends including emus, highland cows, pigs, goats, etc & lots of grass to eat. I will continue to do my weaving & fiber arts which will be available on my website “TheLatvianWeaver.com”. It’s just the keeping of the animals that will be in my rear view mirror. I thank everyone for their interest and hope to see you on my “The Latvian Weaver” page & website. Next chapter starts now…..
