For us, the name came from the simplicity of a wooden shutter. One that you find covered in chippy paint, leaning against the wall at the local barn sale. One that may be overlooked because its beauty has diminished over time. One tha
t you can purchase for $5 because the owner just wants to get rid of it. But it is never just a "wooden shutter." Think of all of the things a "wooden shutter" can become...a bench, a shelf, a snowman, an angel. You can bring that "wooden shutter" back to life and restore it to it's original beauty and more. We wanted this to represent what we do in our business. We take old wooden pallets and bring them to life with our paintings. We find that discounted item that no one wanted and make it into a gorgeous centerpiece. We celebrate the original character of all the things we find.
