Sharing something a bit new for The Woodway, but still rooted in the same ideas.

Most of what I share here is made from wood, metal, or found materials—objects given a new life. This vest started the same way, just in a different medium.

I made it from a vintage quilt found at a yard sale. It’s my version of a coat of many colors, as some have said to me.
This is my first major sewing project: a hood, pockets, drawstring, magnetic clasp, and a leather patch with The Woodway brand. Resulting most unique piece I own!

Learning to sew has been a reminder that the materials may change, but the pull toward making useful things doesn’t.
