Meet the Beans! These fascinating creatures were recently discovered by enterprising artists in a parallel dimension to ours. As of yet, we know very little about them, how they live their lives, how they see the world…. So far we have glimpsed four lifeforms—three bipeds in descending size, and one small quadruped.

Our artist discoverers are hard at work, trying to learn more about these creatures and their civilization. Stay tuned as we share our discoveries.

My biggest texture mold yet! This 16x26 inch mold of wildflowers and pine is going to form the centerpiece for a kitchen tile backsplash. Today we moved it very carefully to the kiln while it was still wet and strong enough to withstand the journey. It will dry in the kiln for two days (next to this lovely vase by chases.ceramics) and then, fingers crossed, fire to bisque temps all in one piece!

Six of us worked together to get it into the kiln without cracking, and we ended up deciding to remove the bottom shelf for it to fit.

If the kiln gods are kind, I’ll have some tiles to show you soon, lifted off of this finished mold!
