I wasn’t able to stay the whole time because of the storm, but anyone that did come out and see me I appreciate you so much!! This way my first out door show and the wind definitely showed me who was boss! 💜 I think Mouse is the official mascot of Burt And Bound! He loved being the center of attention!!

This Saturday , I’ll be tucked inside the Spring Market…
surrounded by soft sunshine, curious creatures…
and a few pieces that don’t quite belong in the daylight.

If you feel drawn to strange little worlds,
to things that are a little eerie… but still beautiful
come find my booth.

I’ll have new creations waiting. Some gentle. Some not.

Either way… they’re looking for a home 🖤

“Ode to the Wind-Tossed Bag”

I saw a plastic bag today
living its absolute worst life.

Cartwheeling down the street
like it had unpaid bills,
three emotional breakdowns pending,
and a group chat it forgot to respond to.

It smacked into a tree,
held on for a moment,
like, this is it,
I’ve found stability,
I’ve healed.

Then the wind said,
“Nope”,
and ripped it right back into chaos.

And I thought..
yeah… that tracks.

Because isn’t that us?

Just…
sentient grocery bags
with anxiety and opinions,

clinging to branches we call
“jobs,”
“relationships,”
“plans,”
“this time I’ve got it figured out.”

We wrap ourselves tight around something solid,
trying to look like we belong there,
like we chose it,

while the universe stands off to the side
with a giant invisible fan
and absolutely zero concern for our schedule.

And just when we start to feel steady,
whoosh.

There goes your routine.
There goes your peace.
There goes that version of you
that finally made sense.

And sometimes
you don’t even get the dignity of flight.

Sometimes you just get dragged;
half-inflated,
scraping asphalt,
collecting dirt and regret
like it’s part of your personality now.

And still;
still…

somehow
we don’t tear.

We stretch.
We twist.
We get caught again.

On a fence.
On a branch.
On some random moment
that feels like maybe, just maybe,
this is where we stop.

And maybe we do,
for a while at least

Until the wind remembers us again.

Some of my favorites from the little ones I’ve been bringing to life lately…

Tiny bones. Hollow eyes. Soft little souls that feel like they wandered out of a dream you can’t quite remember, but can’t forget either.

Each one carries its own mood… a flicker of curiosity, a touch of sadness, a hint of something darker hiding just beneath the surface.

They may be small… but they don’t feel small when you hold them.

These (and more) will be making their way with me to Obscurious Market and be available at my upcoming show April 18th.

The sky is not empty,
it breathes.

A swollen, watching dark stretches its ribs
across the night,
clouds piled like something thinking,
something ancient enough to forget its own name.

And there,
wounded in the center;
a pale eye struggles open.

The moon.

Not radiant. Not whole.
Just… trying.

Its light doesn’t pour out,
it leaks.
Thin veins of silver pressing through the suffocating mass,
like a pulse fighting beneath too much flesh.

You can feel it.
That quiet insistence.

As if the sky itself is a weight,
a hand pressed over the mouth of the world,
and the moon is the last breath slipping through fingers
that were never meant to loosen.

There is something vast here.
Not just darkness,
but presence.
Something old enough to swallow stars
and patient enough to wait
until even hope forgets its own shape.

And still..
that small, trembling light.

Not strong enough to conquer.
Not bright enough to cleanse.

But stubborn.

As if it knows,
even here,
even beneath a sky that feels alive and watching,
someone, somewhere,
is looking up
and needs to believe
that something is still fighting
to reach them.

The moon does not win.

It endures.

And sometimes…
that is the only kind of salvation
the dark allows.
