Meet the real life inspiration for my sticker 🥰

My childhood cat Bubbles always used to sit in the round bathroom window in our house in Florida. I love that I got to incorporate her into my art.
I’ve actually been consciously trying to add more personal details and easter eggs into my pieces lately.

And hey, don’t forget to tell your cat I said pspspspsps

Hello to all my new Nerdfighter friends!

Instagram told me I got 200 new followers from my last post, and I’m super excited that you’re all here (because you’re here because you’re here)!

Here are some more pictures from the Winston Salem stop of John Green’s book tour, and the crowd singing the song on the last slide.

Also, I finished Hollywood, Ending last night and it was so good!

Wild fun fact: My baby was in a movie when he was 6 months old, so a lot of the filming stuff felt very familiar to me.

This has been a John Green Appreciation Post

John and Hank have been instrumental in my growth as an artist since I was a teenager. At every step in my small business journey, John and Hank were somehow behind the scenes, unknowingly encouraging me to keep going. Helping remind me that I have things to offer, even if they don’t seem special or important.

I got to go up onstage at John’s book tour last night. He asked for volunteers to act out a scene. He was so thrilled by our performance and genuinely seemed shocked at our talent. It was very cool to get to see him in person again after so many years.

I got to give him a new sticker I designed, that I’m particularly proud of because I can really see how much I’ve improved since the one they sold on their website. I also gave him some Mountain Goats stickers because, well, of course I did.
I hope he likes them.

Sometimes when the impostor syndrome kicks in, all you need is a celebrity to tell you that you’re doing a good job 🤷

Thank you, John and Hank, for giving me Scrambled Pegs. I never would have done it without you.

Guess who’s back?
Back again!

I brought these two dusty old designs out of retirement for you.
(they’re actually not dusty, I didn’t even make any edits to them because they were already fine!)

These are Mountain Goats lyrics and I don’t really know why I retired them other than I guess I got bored or wanted to make room for new designs.

But like, what does “make room for new designs” even mean??
Why was past me so intent on retiring designs lol 🙃

Anyway, maybe I’ll bring some more oldies back. Are there any that you miss? Maybe I’ll compile some pictures and make a poll or something idk 🤷

If you’re going to see John Green on September 25th, I’ll be there giving out these free stickers!

I’m actually pretty shy, so I’m hoping I have the nerve to actually go up to people and give them stickers, but if you see me please come ask for one!

(And if you won’t be there, I do have some extras listed in my sh0p, but I mostly just wanted to spread some joy with these because I thought it would be fun!)

ANOTHER PERSON got my art TATTOOED on their BODY!!! 🤯😱🥹😭

I still can’t believe this is my life. I drew something. And someone liked it enough to permanently place it on their body for the rest of their life.

And this hasn’t just happened once. It has happened at least THIRTEEN DIFFERENT TIMES.

I attribute a lot of it to them all being the Mountain Goats quotes, so people are connecting more with the words than with my art, but they’re still connecting with the art too!

Anyway, thank you so much to Jessi for getting this tattoo, and shout out to Lightning (TaiyakiTattoo) for the amazing ex*****on!

This one is a quote from Isaiah 45:23 by the Mountain Goats, and all of the flowers are mentioned in various other Mountain Goats songs.
