Miracles happen- these floors were in bad shape. An over the counter cleaning solution had taken its toll over the years and we weren’t sure if it would sand out. We went over the possibility of staining it just in case but our customer was dead set on returing their floor to its original light color. We knew we had our work cut out for us. If it could be done then we were going to do it! Needless to say, I think we delivered. 🙂

What's better than a day on the water away! Coming home to your Gorgeous Ash floors in your new home! The Hardwood Floor Store did these for 2 Wonderful people we know Tim and Pam! These floors are 7 1/4" wide Ash flooring finished Natural exposing all the Clarity and Beauty in these extremely light pallet floors.
Ash floors, like the old chestnut floors won't be around much longer. Unfortunately Northern Ash trees are dying and becoming extinct due to insects targeting them specifically. Within the next 10 years, most if not all Ash trees will be gone.
We Love doing Specialty Floors like these- especially preserving them like you see here for future generations to admire!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted.. and for good reason. We’ve NEVER had to rely on a social media presence to generate work. Our family has been working in Bergen County, NJ for three generations, consistently delivering the highest quality of craftsmanship around using techniques that were passed down through generations and proven to stand the test of time. We’re not the ‘family owned and operated’ business that just sells you the job and sends their ‘crew’. We are the craftsman that will show up to do your job. Just like Travis’ grandfather did. And we’re here to just say Thank You— before all of those ‘New Years’ posts— to everyone who has recommended and hired us. We truly do love our job, and it’s because of the new clients that call with ‘I saw so and so’s job and you already have the job. We just want to get on your schedule.’ Thank you. Thank you for keeping an old-school family run business off our phones and present with our family.

Recently we had the pleasure of revisiting this reclaimed wood floor we did a little over 10 years ago. The wood used was reclaimed from a barn aged over 200+ years old. For a home occupied by an avid hunter and a pack of dogs we were excited to see how well it held up! Wood this old requires special care and treatment in order to preserve it and we were called to give it a once over so it’ll last another 200 years. Have wood floors in need of care?
