Behind every great meal is a chef with a story. 👨‍🍳

For International Chefs Day, we’re stepping into the kitchen at HALIFAX HOBOKEN with Executive Chef Seadon S. Shouse (Seadon S Shouse)!

Growing up in a small fishing village in Nova Scotia, Chef Seadon developed an early connection to seafood, foraging, and locally grown food, experiences that continue to shape his approach at Halifax today.

From smoking meats and seafood in-house to dry-aging steaks and making sea salt from Montauk water, he brings that hands-on philosophy to Halifax’s Northeastern farm and coastal cuisine.

Watch to meet the chef behind the kitchen and learn more about the inspiration, craft, and passion that go into every plate ! đź’›

There’s a whole lot of community behind the games at Play! Hoboken. 🎱💛

In our latest On the Block feature, we’re getting to know Ian Rintel, the founder behind Play! Hoboken, whose business owner story in Hoboken started with Hoboken Golf in 2002.

After the original location closed, Ian stayed committed to creating a place for Hoboken to gather and play. That next chapter became an all-ages recreation space filled with golf, billiards, ping pong, and more. With camps and after-school programs, he’s also giving local kids opportunities to try something new and find their own favorite way to play.

Swipe through to learn what inspired Ian’s vision, what kept him going, and what makes this community feel like home. ➡️
