NIBA Designs

NIBA Designs The utmost quality & flexibility in custom rug design. By founder and creative director Beth Arrowood I am proud to introduce to you NIBA Designs!

When I founded the company back in 2005, my intention was to cater solely to the interior design market. After working as an interior designer and through my own research, I found that most rug companies carried large inventories of dated-looking designs, and worse, offered minimal customer service. Our goal at NIBA Designs is to offer an array of beautiful designs, with new designs being introduc

ed every few months. We also provide unparalleled personal service. NIBA rugs salespeople are all trained in interior design, and understand first-hand the pressure and time constraints designers face. Our job is to make your lives easier- from same-day service for quotations and renderings, to free catalogues and samples for your libraries, to creating custom rug designs for your projects. We pride ourselves on our flexibility in composition, design and price points. We offer thousands of color choices, in materials such as wool, silk, hemp, linen, bamboo, allo, tencel, nylon, cotton, sunpat and more. Continual development of new fibers and techniques is very important to us. And so are the relationships with our factories. We visit each factory once a year, and work very closely with the owners and their staff. Each factory must not only meet acceptable standards for every aspect of its working conditions, but it must also be in alliance with GoodWeave (formerly known as RugMark) to ensure that there is no child labor used in the manufacturing of our rugs. By developing strong personal relationships with our factories, we are able to deliver superior service and excellent lead times. In return, we keep the ancient traditions of rug-making alive while keeping people employed and offering help in countries of great need. I invite you to visit our showroom in Hollywood Florida or on our website at www.NIBADesigns.com. If you prefer one of our regional sales managers can schedule a personal appointment in your office. Thank you for your interest in NIBADesigns. We look forward to working with you! Beth Arrowood

Let’s clear this one up once and for all. 👀

We hear it all the time: “I don’t like Tencel.” But after a few questions, we often discover that what someone experienced wasn’t actually Tencel at all—it was viscose or another cellulose-based fiber being sold as something similar.

And there’s a BIG difference.

At NIBA, we’ve worked with Tencel for years. We know the fiber, we know how it performs, and we know exactly what we’re sourcing.

Beth demonstrates one of those differences here: add water to real Tencel and watch it bead up and roll right off. 💧 With many cellulose-based fibers, that moisture is absorbed quickly and can leave behind a visible spot.

So if you’ve sworn off Tencel because of a past experience, it might be time to reconsider what you were actually sold.

Fiber matters. Sourcing matters. And experience definitely matters.

California Organic Modern isn’t about filling a room with pattern. It’s about letting the materials do the talking.

Linen. Natural wood. Stone. Wool. Soft, dimensional textures layered in warm, sun-washed neutrals.

Think Santa Barbara—relaxed but refined, earthy but elevated. When the palette is quiet, texture becomes the detail that gives a space depth, warmth, and character.

Beth breaks down why, in this aesthetic, what something is made of can be just as important as how it looks.

What material instantly makes a space feel warmer to you?

World, meet Mila — one of the people behind the scenes at NIBA who gets. it. all. done. ✨

Mila leads our visual merchandising, but her expertise goes far beyond making things look beautiful. With a deep understanding of how rugs are made — and an incredible eye for color — she’s also an important part of our strike-off evaluation process.

Here, Mila walks us through a strike-off evaluation for Bukhara, looking closely at color matching, construction and the details that need to be just right before a rug moves forward.

APPROVED! ✔️

For us, the process is part of the design. Understanding how a rug is constructed—from the knot and fiber to the finishing—helps designers make more informed decisions about what they specify and why.

Here, a neutral design from our Tuscany Collection takes shape on the loom, Persian knotted by hand.

Beautiful is important. Knowing why it works is even better.

Kinda chic to care how things are made. ✨

And once you see how much goes into making every single rug pom by hand, you’ll understand why we have one small request…

PSA: Please return your poms. 😂 🧶 😉

Mini…but make it neutral! 😏

The Mini Collection brings our classic patterns into a palette of creams, blacks, whites and sands—all in subtle, tone-on-tone combinations.

Quiet in color, but full of texture and dimension, these are the rugs that can work anywhere. They add just enough interest without competing with everything else happening in the room.

Proof that neutral never has to mean boring.

How do you create a home where every rug speaks to the next—without feeling repetitive?

One of our favorite approaches is designing by collection.

Our Essaouira Collection draws its inspiration from the colors, textures, and architecture of Morocco. Each design has its own personality while sharing a common point of view, making it easy to create a cohesive story throughout an entire residence.

When you’re designing multiple spaces, shopping by collection can be a beautiful place to begin.
