This event will be a spirited demonstration that diversity in all its forms is beautiful and should be celebrated, not feared. The Glitter Run is the first-of-its-kind 5K fun run/walk through the heart of Hollywood that celebrates the power and beauty of diversity. Within view of iconic landmarks including the Hollywood sign, TCL Chinese Theatre, and the Capitol Records building, thousands of "col
or-filled" people will traverse historic Hollywood Boulevard while passing through seven glitter stations. At these stations volunteers will toss different colors of non-toxic, washable—and fabulously vibrant—glitter on the participants. When they finish their run through the rainbow, participants will enjoy the massive Dazzling Dance Party. This party will feature music from some of the most celebrated DJs in Los Angeles, awesome live performances, beer and wine, a collection of some of the city's most popular food trucks, fun photo opportunities and specially-designed lighting to showcase the glittering participants in a totally immersive dance experience and many other surprises. The Glitter Run is a fun way to send a message that diversity is beautiful and should be celebrated. Proceeds support the Center’s work to build a world where LGBT thrive as healthy, equal and complete members of society.
