The shearers are here! We’ve been up at the ranch where we get about 90% of our fiber, skirting and sorting, and this year’s clip is awesome! Some of the ladies skipped last year’s haircut and there’s no break, which is huge. And we’ve had so much rain recently almost every fleece is so clean. Stay tuned for some fab yarn and roving!

Here’s our closed schedule for the next couple of months. May and June are our quiet months, so we’re getting some things done, and participating in a few neat events. This Saturday we’ll be in Hilo at the East Hawai’i Cacao event wearing our Waipi’o Chocolate hats, then it’s shearing time, and finally we’re having Hawai’i sheep and goat association members out for a tour of the mill and attending their annual meeting.

Lopi! We have 6 colors to choose from and they’re all beautiful 😍 it may be my favorite yarn yet! Made with 100% grown in Hawai’i Romney wool, the colors are from recycled sari silk. Absolutely dreamy, very limited supply as we get less than 200 lbs of this fiber a year. See something you like? DM us and we’ll get it invoiced and shipped out.
