Which approach do you use? Dark outline in the same pass as putting the initial wash? Tackle one step at a time?
There are several approaches one can take with transparent watercolor flowers. I will switch it up from time to time, but I generally choose this style:
-light value paint on each petal
-darken overlaps
-rewet petals and add dark value along the edges
-soften and blend out
