Asa and I had fun making these wooden candy canes and lollipop Christmas decorations to donate to LaVace Stewart Elementary. They will be using them for the "Peppermint Village". A Christmas shop the school sets up every year for the students to come do a little Christmas shopping for their families. We cut all the big peices from plywood and did LOTS of sanding and painting! We used PVC pipe for the 'lollipop sticks', put some clear shrink wrap over them so they look like they have candy wrapping around them. We finished with a 50 pound bag of Quickcrete to keep it upright and stable in a galvanized bucket. Oh yeah, and GLITTER! LOTS AND LOTS OF GLITTER!!
