💕 SUNDAY CHECK-IN 💕
Sunday always feels like that weird little space between...
“I should probably get my life together for the week”
and
“Maybe I should just sit here with my coffee and pretend Monday isn't coming.” 😂☕
I'm choosing a little bit of both today.
Running a small handmade business means there's always something I could be doing—another wreath to make, supplies to organize, pictures to take, listings to update...and apparently more craft supplies to buy for projects I may or may not ever make. 🤣🎀
But today I'm also taking a minute to appreciate every person who has supported Cortney’s Crafty Creations—whether you've purchased something, shared a post, left a comment, liked one of my creations, or simply followed along with my crafting adventures. 💕
Those little things mean more to a small business than you probably realize.
So before we jump into another week, tell me ONE good thing that happened to you this week. Big or small—I want to hear it! 👇🥰

🎀 SATURDAY CRAFTER QUESTION 😂
I have a question for all my fellow crafters...
At what point does buying craft supplies become a separate hobby from actually crafting? 🤔🤣
Because I swear these are TWO completely different activities.
There's:
🎨 Crafting — actually making something.
And then there's:
🛒 Craft-supply shopping — wandering through the store saying...
"Ooooh, I could use this."
"I don't know what for yet, but I'll figure it out."
"It's on sale, so technically I'm SAVING money." 😂
Then you get home, put it with the other supplies you bought for imaginary future projects, and immediately start thinking about what you need on your NEXT trip. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣
Please tell me I'm not alone.

🛍️ FRIDAY FRONT DOOR SHOPPING! 🎀
Okay y'all, we've laughed about our craft-supply addictions, confessed what we've bought and never used 😂...but today I'm putting on my business-owner hat because I have some pretty doors that need decorating! 💕

🎄 And yes...Christmas is coming! 👀

✂️ THURSDAY CRAFTER CONFESSION 😂
Okay, fellow crafters...it's confession time.
What craft supply did you absolutely HAVE to have...and then never used? 👀🤣
You know the one.
You saw it and immediately thought:
✨ “Ohhhh, I could make SO many things with this!”
So naturally, you bought it.
And now it's been sitting in your craft stash for approximately 6 months to 7 business years. 😂
But we can't get rid of it because...
WHAT IF WE NEED IT SOMEDAY?! 😳
That's not hoarding, y'all.
That's inventory management. 🤣🤣
So come on, I know I'm not alone!

🎃🍂 WREATH WEDNESDAY: BE HONEST… 😂
It's Wreath Wednesday, so I have a very serious decorating question for y'all...
How many wreaths does one person actually NEED? 🤔
Because as someone who makes them, I'm probably the WRONG person to ask. 😂
In my world, you obviously need:
🎃 A Halloween wreath
🍂 A Fall wreath
🏈 A wreath for your favorite team
🎄 A Christmas wreath
✨ And at least one extra because...what if you get tired of looking at the other ones?! 🤣
See? Completely reasonable.
So now I'm curious about YOUR front door!
How often do you change your wreath or door décor?

🏈⚾ IT'S GAME DAY, Y'ALL! 🏈⚾

Apparently, the sports fans have been keeping me busy lately! I've sold THREE sports wreaths on Etsy in the last week and a half! 🙌❤️

Between the ribbon, mesh, team colors, and trying to get everything just right, my craft room has been looking like a sporting goods store and a tornado had a baby. 😂

But I love making these wreaths! There's just something about putting all those team colors together and creating something that lets you show off your team pride right at your front door.

And now I have a very important question...

WHO ARE WE ROOTING FOR THIS WEEKEND?! 👀🏈

🎃 YOUR FRONT DOOR IS LOOKING A LITTLE NAKED. 😂

It's Friday, y'all! And Halloween is getting closer! 👻

Some people decorate their front doors with a simple little wreath.

And then there's me...

MORE RIBBON! MORE MESH! ADD A SKULL! WAIT... DOES IT NEED ANOTHER BOW?! 😂🎀

Apparently, my decorating philosophy is that if the neighbors can't see it from across the street, we're not finished yet. 🤣

But that's what I love about creating wreaths. Every one has its own personality, and sometimes a little extra is exactly what your front door needs!

I've got some Halloween and Fall wreaths ready to find their new homes, and I'm always dreaming up something new in the craft room. 💕

🎨 WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
I took a little break from wreath-making recently and made something different—a personalized door hanger for Baby Henry! 💙🍼
And like most craft projects, everything went exactly according to plan...
Said no crafter ever. 😂
I painted the monogram, got everything looking nice, and then started applying the vinyl for his name.
Pulled the transfer tape up...
AND THE PAINT CAME UP WITH IT. 😑
There may or may not have been a brief moment where I cussed to the Craft Gods and questioned every decision that led me to that exact moment. 😂😂
Then I fixed it, because that's what we crafters do. We cuss a little, stare at it in disbelief, contemplate throwing the entire project across the room...and then figure out how to make it work. 🤣
And THIS is how Baby Henry's door hanger turned out! 💙
I even added a matching little tag where his family can write his birth date, time, weight and length after he arrives. 🥰
That's one of the things I love about crafting. Sometimes the projects that fight you the hardest end up being the ones you're most proud of when they're finished.
