A few weeks ago, I went to my first Friends Farmers Market Party.
We each arrived carrying 14 handmade items. We left carrying baskets filled with 14 little acts of love.
There were quilted pieces, flowers, sourdough, plants, bath salts, pottery, calligraphy, family recipes, and so many other things that had been grown, sewn, baked, written, or made by hand.
But the things we exchanged weren’t really what stayed with me.
Somewhere between filling our baskets, sharing an incredible meal, and talking about motherhood, faith, creativity, business, family, and just about everything else under the sun, friendships grew and community took shape.
This week on the Wofford Calligraphy journal, I’m sharing the story of that evening and what it reminded me about creativity, generosity, and the beautiful things that can happen when we make something and gather our people.

A huge thank you to Emma and my sister Jenna for creating such a beautiful evening, and to Rebecca for capturing so much of it so beautifully. ❤️
