Our clients' vision was centered around simplicity, serenity, and cultural representation. To bring this vision to life, we created a mood board that encapsulated their ideas, allowing them to visualize colors, textures, and the overall aesthetic.

This board was then used to develop a prototype, which underwent several iterations before we finalized a design that perfectly captured their desires - a harmonious blend of simplicity, calmness, and cultural inspiration.

The artwork adjacent to the television is a kinetic piece, inspired by David C. Roy's work, requiring no external power source. Our clients' request for a large television was also accommodated.

We curated artwork from global sources for the entire residence, while supporting local small businesses for items like the coffee table and television console, aligning with our practice of prioritizing small businesses over large retailers.

I met my current client when I lived in Thailand, 15 years ago. I was an expat trying to find my way in a country whose language was almost impossible for someone like me to learn. I’m a language misfit. And Thai is not on the top five of easy languages.

She moved to the states to go to college and had just moved back after a couple of years working in New York City. Being a native New Yorker, we had some things in common. We remained friends all these years. So when she bought her new home in Miami, Florida with her husband, she called me to see what I could do with her space. 

Both she and her husband were raised in Bangkok and wanted the entire home to feel quite literally like their homes in Thailand. This seemed like a tall order. My team and I were not sure exactly how far she wanted to go with this. And if we didn’t do it right, it would potentially be a very expensive mistake for both she and I.

For that reason, we make our clients very detailed visual prototypes based off of our conversations, pieces they already have and the ambiance that is going to make them feel like their home is a true home away from home.

We are actually in progress on this project. While there’s not a terrible amount of construction, the bathroom in particular does require a gut renovations. These are the final prototypes that they decided on. These are not photographs. They are renderings of her space with the vision we collaborated on together. 

Sidebar: A lot of people may not be aware that as long as your home has good bones, physical renovations are often not necessary. Changing light fixtures, painting, wallpaper, backsplash- These are all relatively low touch. Painting outdated cabinets is a light undertaking. There are many things you can do to modernize or change the flow of your home without taking a sledgehammer to it.

I have a current client that I met when I lived in Thailand years ago. We stayed in touch. A couple of months ago, she and her husband bought a new home in Miami, Florida and asked my team to come in and help them re-create their experiences growing up in Thailand.

Truthfully, we weren’t sure how far they wanted to go. They told us that when they entered a room, they wanted to literally feel as if they were back in Thailand.

Not only is that a tall order, but a potentially expensive mistake if we don’t do it right. For this reason, I provided them with very detailed prototypes depicting our conversations and using pieces that they already have to create a potential vision of the spaces.

This is a 4 room project with a larger budget. That said, our goal is always to increase value over costs. These prototypes demonstrate what we are working on right now. It’s a large project, but the finished product is going to be amazing. Stay tuned.

25 foot ceilings… definitely 1st world problems! That said, our client in Chicago lived in a converted warehouse that had such beautiful bones. But once again, they were on a bit of a budget. They had just spent most of their savings on a converted warehouse condominium. They wanted to preserve the feeling of Chicago, but still put in pops of color as well as one of the things that we specialize in: the beauty and strength of women. Don’t worry guys! We have plenty of things out there for you too.

My clients were a home builder and a chef. And the dining room was definitely the chef’s space. We found an industrial reclaimed wood dining table that made them feel at home and represented the history of their city. It offset the brick and blended into the floors perfectly. It was new, but also still had that vintage vibe of old Chicago.

With the incredibly high ceilings, we did not want the space to look bare, even though they preferred minimalistic. So we inserted this extra high vase. We added a beautiful pop of color above it to tie everything together. This was exactly the vision she was looking for, and my clients were very pleased.

Custom curated 24 x 36” canvas gallery wrapped oil painting from OnyxPearls Experiential Interiors. Our client had recently traveled to Cuba to learn more about her family origins. She wanted a depiction of the strength and beauty of the women in Cuba. We discussed which aspects of her trip resonated as well as had the privilege of seeing the fascinating and candid photos she took while there. We felt this custom curated piece perfectly encapsulated the Je ne sais quoi she was looking for. And our client was thrilled with the result!
