A little project check-in never disappoints! ✨

I was able to stop in and see the progress on this project as it’s getting so close to the finish line—and I loved seeing all of the details starting to come together!

There’s something so exciting about walking through a space that has lived in the world of plans, elevations, samples, and renderings for so long… and suddenly seeing it become REAL. 🤍

The cabinetry, finishes, fixtures, and all those little details we spent so much time thoughtfully selecting are finally coming together to create the vision we started with.

We’re not quite at the “final reveal” yet, but we’re getting close—and I can’t wait to share the finished space! 🏡✨

While we still have a few more weeks of summer before I fully switch over to pumpkin lattes and apple-pie vibes, summer is starting to feel like it’s winding down around here—with the kids heading back to college after a season filled with graduations, weddings, lake days, and lots of celebrating! ☀️

We kicked off the summer with Caleb’s graduation, followed by a trip to sunny California for his national soccer playoffs—a pretty perfect way to cap off his high school soccer career. ⚽️ From there, we settled into lots of great days at the lake (and yes… we did successfully recover the small kneeboarder from the lake without injury! 😂).

The rest of the summer brought jaunts to NJ and the shore for a beautiful wedding, a friend’s 50th birthday (no photos from that shin-dig! 😉), and, of course, celebrating the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. this fall! 💍

And sprinkled throughout it all were plenty of design days—selecting tile, contemplating slabs of countertops and (26k toilets), wrapping up final projects, and getting those fall projects underway. 🏡

This summer was definitely one for the books. And before we officially say goodbye to summer and hello to sweater weather, pumpkin everything, and some Endicott soccer games, I’m hoping to squeeze in a few more warm days and lake-side evenings.

Gotta love a busy, family-and-friend-filled summer! ❤️.

It’s hard to believe a week has already passed since Modernism Week in Palm Springs.

Spending time in the desert, immersed in the clarity and intention of modernist design, is a powerful reminder that Modernism is more than an architectural movement or a chapter in art history — it’s a way of living. It’s about restraint, proportion, material honesty, and the seamless dialogue between indoors and out.

We toured the beautifully preserved Twin Palms Estate, once home to Frank Sinatra, experienced the quiet sophistication of the Kaufmann House, and visited two thoughtfully composed residences by Staci Munic. Each space offered its own lesson in balance, light, and livability.

Equal parts inspiration and education — and a renewed appreciation for architecture that feels as relevant today as it did decades ago.

Creatively recharged and looking forward to weaving a touch of desert Modernism into our New England projects. (Though we wouldn’t mind importing a little California sunshine as well.)

So grateful to our wonderful hosts and connecting with some new friends!

Fresh look for the laundry room in Wellesley, MA! ✨🧺
We’ve just finished installing these beautiful white oak butcher-block-style countertops with accompanying backsplash. Finished with a rich walnut stain, they bring a perfect balance of warmth and durability to this hard-working space—proving that laundry day can be high-end, too!
White oak is the ideal choice for a busy utility area, offering the strength needed for folding and sorting, while the custom stain adds a sophisticated touch of design.
A huge thank you to our incredible collaborator on this project:
🎨 Sara at SJ Interior Design Studio for the impeccable vision.
