Welcome to Tiny House Studios! I'm Sara, creator and designer of Tiny House. The name Tiny House Studios comes from a real place.

I learned to refinish furniture and sew while my husband Steve and I were living in a quaint little college town rental home while attending graduate school. We referred to it as “The Tiny House!” I started refinishing small pieces that I’d find at thrift stores, and learning how to sew. I started out sewing plush owls as Christmas gifts for our nieces a nephews, which turned into custom requests

from friends and family! Since then, I’ve sewn many owls and other plush items. I decided to launch an official Etsy shop, Tiny House Studios. This Christmas, I really really wanted to make our daughter’s Christmas dress…✨🧵👗

Happy Earth Day! 🌱🌎 ❤️

I’ve really enjoyed learning how to successfully mend our five-year-old’s jeans, as knee holes seem to be inevitable at this point! New jeans received in December had holes by February. 👖 🪡

All of these jeans still fit well, and are otherwise great. It would have been easy for them to have ended up in a landfill, and to have purchased new jeans.

Instead, these jeans were kept out of a landfill and are now better than new, with added durability! Added bonus- our son likes how the patches feel! 🎉 💚
