NEW VENDOR + A VERY SPECIAL EC TEAM INTRODUCTION

This one feels a little different to announce, because Mikki didn’t exactly come into The Elevated Collective as a vendor.

She came into our lives when we really needed her. ❤️

When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, there were some genuinely hard days behind the scenes at The EC. Days when keeping everything moving felt like a lot.

Mikki started showing up.

At first, it was simply helping us get through those really hard days. Then it became more days. More projects. More “Hey Mikki, can you help me with this?” 😂 And somewhere along the way, she became one of those people we couldn’t quite remember how we ever did this without.

Today, Mikki is officially a full-time member of The Elevated Collective team. 🥹

And NOW, we get to introduce another side of her…

🌿✨ COTTAGEHORE ART✨🌿

Yes. You read that correctly. 😂

Mikki has always had this wonderfully whimsical, funky, slightly unexpected creative style. Think mushrooms, flowers, woodland things, vintage treasures, a little weirdness, and anything that feels like it belongs in an enchanted cottage somewhere.

One day we were trying to figure out what exactly to call her style and what her business should be named.

I was TRYING to say…

“It’s very cottagecore.”

What actually came out of my mouth was…

“It’s very Cottage Whore”

We absolutely lost it. 😂

And the more we laughed about it, the more we realized… wait.

That’s it. That’s the name.

Because if you know Mikki, you know it somehow makes perfect sense. 😂 Whimsical, funky, playful, creative, and never taking itself too seriously.

So not only are we incredibly lucky to have her as part of the team every day, we now get to officially welcome Cottagehore as one of the artists of The Elevated Collective.

Watching you now carve out your own little creative corner of this place feels pretty dang special. ❤️

So everyone please help us officially welcome Mikki + Cottagehore to The Elevated Collective!

A recovery drink 👏🏼

Tomorrow during Market on Main, we are going to be doing two specials!

First-drink samples👏🏼 we will have our favorite tea, and our favorite mocktail out for you to taste!

Secondly-all of the businesses downtown are doing a poker run! For every $5 you spend, you get to pull another card. Put together your best hand and redeem it for prizes!

We’ve been keeping a pretty exciting little project behind the scenes, and we’re finally ready to tell you about it.

One of the things we’ve wished we could do since opening The Elevated Collective is get out into our community more.

We absolutely LOVE being in the heart of downtown Huntington. We love being part of what’s happening here, watching downtown grow, and giving people another reason to come explore it.

But we’ve also wondered… how do we reach the people who haven’t made it downtown in awhile?

Well… apparently the answer was to put The Elevated Collective on wheels. 😂

So….we would like to officially announce…

🫶The Wandering Boutique🫶

This is a brand new small business being independently owned and operated by two people you probably already know and love: my mom and dad, Dawn + Kevin!

Many of you already know Dawn from the shop (and don’t worry — she isn’t disappearing!). But now, on weekends, Dawn and Kevin will be loading up the Wandering Boutique and taking a little piece of The Elevated Collective out into our community.

Inside, you’ll find products from many of the small businesses you already know and love from The Elevated Collective, along with some new finds of their own.

There’s something really special about watching a new small business grow out of this little community of small businesses we’ve created. 🥹

Our hope is that The Wandering Boutique doesn’t just bring our makers to new places — but that it introduces new people to The Elevated Collective, to downtown Huntington, and to all of the incredible things happening here.

So if you see that little black trailer wandering around…go say hi!

The trailer renovations are almost done….so here is a little peak!

Shop small. Support local. And apparently… wander a little. 🤍
