Two objects that are about to make their journey to their new home. One is round and heavy and steel reinforced, the other is rectangular and less heavy and fiber reinforced. We can’t wait to see them where they truly belong!

We recently cast a concrete island for a great couple, who needed something a bit bigger than usual. It was a wonderful challenge, and a pleasure to make.
This is the first casting we’ve done with a built-in trolley system btw.

We’re getting a few things out of the form.

A flashback to warmer times…. Here is a casting we did last July in a Hyannis MA resort. The site was in the middle of a lightning-fast in-season renovation. So speed was a factor in putting this together. Still, the results were great.

Over the past summer, we had the privilege of creating a Torii gate sculpture envisioned by Matthew Akira Okazaki. It was installed at the Charlestown Naval Base, and it seemed fitting that the gate framed the USS Constitution when viewed from within the installation. Collaborating with the Boston Triennial and BRM Production Management was a remarkable experience. Despite the numerous challenges we faced, including tight timelines and novel fabrication strategies, we successfully brought this project to life.

Within a brief two-week period, from commencement to installation, we navigated through various obstacles to ensure the project's completion. Through close collaboration with Matt and leveraging BRM's resources, we were able to seamlessly execute the vision.

Originally designed as a temporary exhibit for the Boston Triennial art series across the city, the Torii gate graced the Navy Yard. While its relocation saddens me, I am excited about its future. The next deployment location hints at an improved and permanent installation, promising an even more captivating experience.
