I’m originally from the United Kingdom, now living and working in Melbourne, Florida for more than 25 years. My background as a Quality Professional with more than 35+ years’ experience in the Quality Assurance/Quality Control field in both UK and US Defense, Design Development, Manufacturing and Service industries has provided me with the project planning and implementation skills to undertake my

woodworking projects. Everything is interconnected. I have a passion for woodworking and have been building projects and furniture for over 20 years. Since I love to experiment, I’ve made a lot of mistakes but have used lessons learnt to progressively improve my skill set and perfect my methods. I converted part of my garage into a small one-man workshop where I spend a lot of my free time engaging in projects, trying, and developing new techniques, using quality materials, paying a lot of attention to detail to produce high quality products for you to enjoy. I haven’t posted in a while. Recently, I completed a custom cabinet designed by the client. The cabinet is made from birch plywood, with poplar used for the top, drawer fronts, and cabinet doors. Both the interior and exterior are painted, and the drawer and door pulls are made of antique brass. The client will use the cabinet as a coffee station.

The dimensions of the cabinet are 48 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 40 inches high.

I have just finished an entry table for a client. The tabletop is made of cherry and features a walnut and purple heart strip in its construction. I tapered the cherry legs and added a tiger wood accent at the bottom. The table measures 51 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 31 inches high.

I have built a low-profile, Japanese-inspired platform bed using pine and cherry wood. This bed features a sleek platform design that extends beyond the mattress and is supported by a sturdy plinth base with slats. The Queen mattress height is set at 20 inches. Attached to each side are built-in nightstands that offer ample space for books, magazines, and other bedtime essentials. Each nightstand includes an invisible phone charging station for added convenience. The headboard is crafted from solid cherry and is backlit with LED lighting.
